Hartford, Connecticut

Year: 2017-2019

Client: Capital Region Development & City of Hartford

As part of a multi-agency effort to bring a United Soccer League (USL) franchise to Hartford, the 6.43-acre Dillon Stadium in the city’s Coltsville section underwent a major revitalization to modernize the 1930s-era facility and accommodate 7,500 spectators. Freeman played a key role in the project, which included installation of new metal bleachers, a press box with premium seating, upgraded lighting and sound systems, improved concessions and restrooms, ADA and code compliance enhancements, and a new site entrance. The project was completed in collaboration with the Prime Architect, CRDA, the City of Hartford, MDC, the Developer, and other stakeholders.
